Hi Doc I have my laproscopic golbludder operation in the month of Nov.Now the question is that what will the chances of having hernia after operation? Where it may be happen lower or upper abdomen?

Chance of incisional hernia have after every operation but very rare after laparoscopic surgery. It may occur from 10mm port sites. Now at most of the centres in laparoscopic surgery we use only one 10mm port in epigastrium to retrieve gall bladder.

It is very rare for laparoscopic port site hernia to happen
Even if it happens there is no such predisposition for upper or lower abdomen
