Image is quite blur, but it shows a raised, red ulcerative growth. It could be folliculitis. Consult online to discuss further.
Next Steps
Maintain hygiene and keep the private part as much dry as possible.

More history and physical examination are required to assess this properly. Do you have one lesion or multiple? Is it painful, itchy, or discharging?
Next Steps
You can book an appointment with me on Practo — I can help evaluate it further and guide you on the right tests or treatment.

Hello I’ve reviewed your concern and the image you shared. The red, raised, pimple-like lesion near the private area can have a few possible causes: Folliculitis – a simple inflammation or infection of a hair follicle, often from friction, sweating, or shaving. Fungal infection (Tinea cruris) – ring-shaped itchy or reddish patches. Sebaceous cyst or blocked gland – non-infectious lump that can get tender if inflamed. In some cases, viral warts or molluscum contagiosum can appear similar and need minor dermatologic treatment. Here’s what you can do right now: Keep the area clean and dry. Avoid tight clothing and friction. Don’t squeeze or scratch the lesion. Apply an over-the-counter antibacterial cream such as mupirocin twice daily for 5–7 days. If it enlarges, becomes painful, or more spots appear, please see a Dermatologist or Venereologist for proper evaluation. They may suggest: Swab or pus culture (if infected) Fungal scraping test (KOH mount) if fungal infection suspected Blood sugar check, since recurrent boils are more common with high glucose. The lesion looks manageable, but identifying the exact cause early prevents recurrence or scarring. You can book a private online consultation with me directly on WhatsApp —nine three two six zero two zero five three six to share close-up photos safely and receive the correct prescription based on the findings.
