What is the diagnosis of gestational diabetes?
My best friend was in the 14th week of her pregnancy when she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I’m concerned for her and the baby’s health and was wondering how does it really happen? She was perfectly fit and ate well too! Can a medical practitioner tell me the diagnosis of gestational diabetes?

She can't be diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 14 weeks of pregnancy ...if she has impaired blood sugar at 14 weeks of pregnancy that means she is pre gestational Diabetes mellitus and not gestational Diabetes mellitus
