Generally it is a part of full treatment and is included in comprehensive fee. So there is as such no cost, however if it is done by other Orthodontist due to some reason then it may be around 3-5 thousand INR.
If you maintain the oral hygiene, then there's no disadvantage, but for lack of hygiene it may cause some gingival inflammation and plaque deposition
