What causes acute lymphoblastic leukemia?
My office collegue is suffering from lymphoblastic leukemia, he is having recurrent fever, fatigue. He use to consume a lot of alcohol and use to smoke 4-5 cigarattes in a day. I too smoke and occasionally have alcohol. We both are of almost saem age. I am 40 year old. i am wooried too. want to know all the causes of acute lymphoblastic leukemia?

No exact cause ..
It is due to genetic mutations of bone marrow cells..
Survival depends on subtype and risk ...
Smoke and alcohol are not directly related to leukemia but they increase the rate of mutations..
Next Steps
abstain frim smome and alcohol and get screened for malignancies periodically
