What caused urine retention as per you
In 2018 I used atomoxetine 100mg very well for my adhd I didn't have any side effects then. 3 years back I had recurring urine bacterial infection,later urologist did prostate massage and collected urine sample after that I never had urine bacterial infection, but ultrasound shows mild prostate enlargement,I don't have problem in urine starting or any other symptoms,I only symptom I have now urine burning sensation If I take atomoxetine even at lowest dosages 20mg it causes urine retention,why?can someone please explain why I need to use atomoxetine for my ADHD I have two questions and looking for multiple options 1.due I have now urine retention caused by atomoxetine due to mild enlargement prostate or recurring urine bacterial infection damaged any bladder or urethra? Or something else? 2.which medicine will help most? How atomoxetine works : atomoxetine increases norephinephrie and urine retention is known side effects and rare side effects

At your age of 29 years symptoms due to prostatic enlargement is rare. Since you have already underwent prostatic massage and culture after that you may have prostatitis at that time.Atomoxetine can cause these urinary symptoms also. How long and why it is to be taken will be better adviced by a psychiatrist to you. For urinary symptoms see an urologist so that he'll assess you and manage accordingly.
