Hi all,
I was diagnosed with an anal fissure which bled for almost 3 weeks and has stopped since the last 12 days (25 bowel movements) . Does this mean that the fissure has healed? If the stool is hard, I still feel pain but no bleeding. What are the signs that a fissure has healed and how long does it take for fissure to heal completely?

Bleeding does not tell about healing. Also the bleeding sometimes is due to piles in nearby region. Healing can only be confirmed by direct EXAMINATION by a general or colorectal surgeon.
But if there is no pain at all then it would indicate healing to some extent.
Next Steps
FISSURE TREATMENT IS COMPLEX AND IF PROPER TREATMENT IS NOT TAKEN FISSURE MAY BECOME CHRONIC AND will become difficult to heal then, and may require surgery then.
