What are most common neurological disorders in adults

I am a 37 year old male. I am writing here for my father who is 60 years of age and been diagnosed by a common neurologic disorder- Parkinsonism. I was keen in knowing what are the treatment for common neurological disorder in adults? Can only medications be helpful? Will physiotherapy be needed or surgery is a must?
