My daughter is 9 month old. She was born prematurely at 35 weeks. Her birth weight was 1.9 kg and her current weight is 5.9 kg. She was completely on breast feed till 8 months. Now, she is on formula feed. My concern is why she is not gaining weight as par the standard chart. We are giving her weight gain suppliments since 1.5 months. Before starting medicines her weight was 5.4. Please suggest me what should I do?

First 3 months are very critical for weight. Lost time cannot help in gaining weight.
Can add extra ghee to food.
Proteins on alternate day can be given.
You can make any of the purees or porridge runny by adding breast milk or formula milk
Thicker purees will help add calories
Follow a routine to feed baby, like tying on the bib, putting him in his chair, etc.
Continue to breastfeed on demand
