Although there is no medication at present which can remove web floaters from eyes, onset of new floaters does warrant a dilated fundus examination.
Eyedrops are put to dilate the pupil (small central black opening in the brown iris) and detailed retinal check up is done using indirect ophthalmoscopy. This is necessary to look for any weak areas in the retina which might need laser treatment.
Dilated fundus examination should be performed by a trained retina specialist.
Please note that dilatation will cause slightly blurred vision for 2-3 hours.

If you have newly formed floaters or floaters associated with meteor like light flashes, then you should get yourself examined by a retina specialist.
Health Tips
Maximum number of times, eye floaters tend to reduce with time. Please do not lift heavy weights, heavy exercise till you get clearance from a retina specialist.
