Weaning off process
My baby is 13.5 months old and due to my job location I can't be with my baby in that city. I have no option other than leaving my baby with my parents. I am a lactating mother and have to stop lactation due to this. How much time it takes to complete this weaning off process without effecting my baby and me. The most difficult situation for me is night lactation. Please help I don't want my baby to suffer but has no option.

Yes u can start weaning of the baby and swich to formula feed or cows milk if your baby is tolerating. No adverse effects of weaning off the breast feeding on baby's growth. Already baby is more than a year old

Baby is more than 1 now.So you can shift to cow's milk and breastfeed at night. Tapering off and stopping may take upto 3-6 months.
