People with IBS have a highly sensitive gut wherein it is difficult to digest very-high fiber foods like moong and chana sprouts.
Here is what you can do:
- Raw sprouts are harder to digest and can trigger bloating or loose motions. Always consume well-cooked sprouts or dals, not raw.
- You can add ghee to your food but maintain the amount you add as it is rich in saturated fats and can affect your cholesterol levels.
- Soak legumes for 8–10 hours, discard soaking water, cook thoroughly, and add digestion-supporting spices like jeera, hing, or ajwain.
