Wart near fingernails

Asked for Female, 20 Years

I had a wart near my right thumb fingernail. I didn't know it was a wart. Slowly I developed a similar thing near my index finger as well. I consulted a dermatologist and he advised a laser treatment. However in a few websites it is mentioned that it vanishes on its own within a few years. I don't want to do a laser treatment. What should I do?
