It is one of the safest medications during pregnancy. You need to take it as per your psychiatrist advise. It won't affect conception rate.

If your on lamotrigine before pregnancy then you will have to talk to your psychiatrist for adjusting dose or shifting on pregnancy safe medication. Don’t stop or start medication by your own as medicine pass to baby by placenta and it may get affected. If you stop you will get release of symptoms and again it will affect you baby so better option for you is to be in continuous touch with your doctor for how to adjust your medications as per your current conditions.
Next Steps
If your planning for pregnancy let your doctor know about it so they can shift you on safe medication.

Hi.. any drug taken during pregnancy crosses placenta and affects the fetus. Hence it is not advisable to self medicate. Consult a psychiatrist and take advice regarding the same.
