Vomiting sensation and headache
My younger brother (22 yrs old ) last month while coming back from his regular job place has seen accidently, a couple having sexual interaction.. he got nervous and frightened at the same time.. same month he had his final exams too.. because of that he didnt share that incident with any of the family members or his friends.. later he shared everything but even now he is unable to come out of that thing... every now and then , he gets feeling like nausea and headache.. unable to concentrate on daily chores.. he says that even he is trying to let that thoughts go but suddenly those the thoughts and images strikes in his head.. Day by day he is getting more stressed.. pls explain .. so that i can tell my parents and make them understand that even mental trauma exists.. i cant see my brother like this

Hi there, It’s always better to have a detailed medical and psychiatric history for every case. In addition, a detailed Mental status examination is also recommended for every case to come for a diagnosis and its management accordingly. In now a days world with the media explosion related to sexual content, People are exposed to “ virtual sex” many times.But still when seeing such acts in reality, when the things happen all of a sudden, some of the guys may find it as “stressful event “ leading to psychological issues.

As these “ images “ have become intrusive to him and not able to stop them from entering in his conscious mind leading to distressing psychological and physical complications.

It’s high time that he should have a consultation from a mental health professional. In addition to drugs, he is likely to have better results with psychological interventions.. He should be counselled about the fact that he is not alone in this world with such problems.and the other fact is that treatment exists.
