My son is vomiting lactogen when given frequently in gap of 1 to 2 hours as he feels hungry n starts crying. But same is not the case when we give cow milk. He is 1 month old. Not able to breastfeed due to inadequate supply. Can we give both cow milk n lactogen? Please suggest.

The commonest cause of vomiting at this age is regurgitation due to overfeeding.
Firstly,as far as possible, give ONLY breastmilk exclusively for the first 6 months.
Secondly,if forced to give top milk feeds, use ONLY formula,NO open milk and NEVER cow's milk.
Thirdly, the gap between 2 feeds should be ATLEAST 2 to ideally 2-1/2 hours, don't wake him up for feeds, burp him for atleast 10 mins after every feed and keep the baby elevated by placing a cushion beneath the head and shoulders.
Remember, every cry is NOT for milk.
