Vivid hallucinations and pounding teeth
Hi, This morning I experienced something that has never happened before. But this morningI kept trying to sleep and I started having constantly changing thoughts which resulted in a strange vey short dream. Upon finishing I had a moment where I was smashing my teeth together and experienced a awakening where there was a slight loss of vision.

What you experienced is a type of REM sleep phenomena. During REM sleep, which is basically the part of sleep where you dream, body movements may sometimes occur. Usually REM sleep is more predominant during mornings. Sometimes the vivid dreams may even feel like hallucinations if you are slightly awake. So nothing to worry about, it's normal. If it is too frequent then you may see an expert. The loss of vision is something I can't explain based on what you said. It may be there if there was any kind of pressure on your eyes.
