Vitamin b 12 deficiency
Hi , I am suffering from vitamin b 12 deficiency.(90pg/ml) I used to have numbness in my right face and fingers .Consulted many doctors and a MRI scan of the brain was done which came normal. Blood tests revealed vitamin D and B 12 deficiency. Took 1500 mcg methylcobalmin for a month and my vitamin b 12 deficiency rose to 390. I stopped medication then. But after 1-2 weeks I started having occular migraines. After 2 months did blood test again and vitamin b 12 level came as 90 pg/ ml I again started taking b 12 supplements - 1500mcg methylcobalmin .Its been 50 days since I started taking the supplements. For how long should i continue ? Also please suggest which doctor should i consult? General physician/ neurologist ?

Hello mam, I understand your concern. Vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to a reduction in healthy red blood cells (anaemia). The nervous system may also be affected. Diet or certain medical conditions may be the cause. Symptoms  can include fatigue, breathlessness, numbness, poor balance and memory trouble. Have you done the test to know whether absorption of this vitamin is good or defective. Few steps can help you get off the daily meditation. Neurosurgeon/Neurologist can help.
