A blue or grayish spot in the eye, especially if it’s in the white part (sclera), is usually not caused by vitamin A deficiency. In fact, vitamin A deficiency typically affects the eye by causing dryness or night blindness rather than any change in color.
Blue spots on the eye are often harmless and can be due to thin scleral tissue, which allows the underlying tissue to show through. However, it’s essential to have an eye specialist (ophthalmologist) examine your child to rule out any other conditions.

Health Tips
On the topic of diet, it’s great that you’re thinking about her nutrition. Vitamin A is important for eye health and overall growth. Since she isn’t eating foods like carrots, you can try including other vitamin A-rich foods that she might enjoy, such as:
• Sweet potatoes
• Spinach and other leafy greens
• Mangoes
• Dairy products like milk and cheese
If you’re finding it difficult to incorporate these foods, let’s talk more about her eating habits and preferences. I’m happy to help with some tips to make healthy eating enjoyable for her.
