Visible Epiglottis
Hi Doctors ,yesterday I had a sore throat in the morning , when i had a look in the mirror with the torch I saw a flap like thing , when I googled it and managed to know it is the epiglottis, now I am afraid , I am feeling that something is in my throat . Is it epiglotitis , pls someone tell me , I don't have any cold or cough

It must be the uvula. Nothing to worry. You can consult a nearby doctor for the sore throat. Take plenty of fluids Avoid fast food, oily foods Gargles with Luke warm water Can take paracetamol or Ibuprofen to reduce pain. This will settle in a 3-5 days

That's why don't google it you will be confused and depressed when u follow it , instead you visit the doctor where the doctor will see the throat with special instruments to look for what it is really over there.
