Viral fever, sore throat,runny nose
My daughter, 2 and a half years old having viral fever, sore throat, runny nose, cold and cough. The doctor prescribed me Refzil October 250 mg suspension, FluCold DS, Cofstop A, Vykool syrup, otrinoz nasal drops (PED.) and mefanorm syrup. She is still having fever in periods from 99.1 to 102.9. Stopped eating. Kindly reply whether the medicines are well for her. If possible also suggest some foods which she may take in these days. Also she may get diarrhea as indications are seeming. Kindly help us.

Of these u need not give Mefanorm each time. Give it only when temperature rises above 102. Fever may continue for upto  2days after the antibiotic has been started As for food, give simple foods like Dal rice,  khichdi,  roti sabzi. Avoid cold or fried foods. Give plenty of water,  glucose water or even ORS if there are loose motions.
