Please help me with this. After that I have been instructed to under go HIV test. I have under gone the same and that has been negative. Kindly suggest the treatment.

If VDRL test is reactive, then the next step is to confirm with TPHA test. With this you can repeat VDRL test and ask for titres if they are already not mentioned in the last VDRL test. If both are reactive, then you should consult a venereologist or dermatologist. The first line treatment is penicillin. This is injectable but must be given under supervision because a lot of people are allergic to it. then repeat test of VDRL with titres will tell whether your treatment worked or not. VDRL is only a screening test for syphilis. Without confirm it with TPHA treatment won't be given.
