Vasectomy
I am52 years old and would like to go in for vasectomy surgery. I have no chronic ailments so far. I would like to know about 1. Is it safe and trouble free? 2. What is the cost of surgery? 3. How many days of hospitalization is required for that? 4. How many follow -up and tests required for this surgery? 5. What are the post operative precautions and care required? 6. What are setbacks to health after surgery?

All depends on type of vasectomy and choice of hospital. You may get money for vasectomy under certain schemes.

It's a safe surgery, when done by experienced hands. It's done as an op procedure and will be sent home after surgery. You need to avoid weights for 2-3 weeks after the surgery. No Ill effects to your health as such, don't worry. Cost of the surgery depends on the centre and city you stay., may range from 10k to 15 k. It's done free of cost in govt hospitals.
