Vaginal infection linked to HIV?
My girlfriend is undergoing vaginal infection treatment. Suffered from itching, irritation. As suggested by doctor, did a pap smear test which showed inflammatory smear and rest normal. Medicines taken so far are as follows : 1. Candid ointment twice for 5 days 2. Flucenazole 1 tab weekly × 2 weeks 3. Secinadozole 2g single dose 4. Azithral 500g 2tab single dose 5. Albendazole 1tab 6. Fenza vaginal capsule 2 tab 2 days 1 week into the treatment we had sex and the itching, irritation came back but the severity is far lesser than previous. She has also recently discovered tiny painless granules like bumps on upper lips and small white patches at the corner of lips. Upper lips becoming extremely dry and wrinkled. Upon googling a little bit, she has read somewhere that these symptoms along with the vaginal infection are signs of HIV. We are very worried and concerned. Is it really connected to HIV or are these side effects of the medicines being administered? Please advise.
