Hello, apart from advise by my colleagues like washing area correctly, drinking plenty of water, kindly send a test called urine culture which will help us to know what organism is causing infection and organism directed treatment and USG abdomen to look for any renal or ureteric stones.. Do frequent voiding, do not forcefully hold urination.

Hello there. I can understand your concern. It's unfortunate that you are suffering from such a long time. Urinary tract infection can be prevented from your side itself. The fact that you are suffering from such a long time means that you are not trying to prevent it yourself. Drink lots and lots of water. Upto 3-4 litres per day. Not just water other fluids like lemon juice, coconut water etc also. Maintain good personal hygiene, wash every time you involve sexually. I hope you will follow the given advice well. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain.

Hello...Urinary tract infections can be painful, but you can take steps to ease your discomfort until antibiotics treat the infection. Follow these tips: Drink plenty of water. Water helps to dilute your urine and flush out bacteria. Avoid drinks that may irritate your bladder. Avoid coffee, alcohol, and soft drinks containing citrus juices or caffeine until your infection has cleared. They can irritate your bladder and tend to aggravate your frequent or urgent need to urinate. Use a heating pad. Apply a warm, but not hot, heating pad to your abdomen to minimize bladder pressure or discomfort....if no improvements or if you are having fever Consult nearest physician they will help you further
