UTI antibiotic
My 8 year old daughter is diagnosed UTI (12 pus cells). Doctor has prescribed Taxim O DT 100 mg for 5 days. My question is that is urine culture test required? Or this antibiotic is OK?
After taking 2 doses, fever has come down from 103 F to 100.5 F. Please advise.

Urine culture should have been done at the time of initially submitting urine samples.
Once you start taking antibiotics urine culture is unlikely to yield anything new.
