Uterusproblem
My mother got a period after 2 yrs and also her uterus is 6 mm thick so doctor suggested to do biopsy test. We done the test it says normal.  Then wat will be the problem and wats d solution for that.  The doctor says that come after two weeks without giving the medicine. Kindly help us the correct procedure

Thank you for your question. Your mother had bleeding after the menopause and this is called postmenopausal bleeding. She had an ultrasound as well as an endometrial biopsy which is the recommended investigation. If the bleeding has stopped she does not need further medication. She will need a follow up ultrasound in six months to assess the thickness of the endometrium if there is no bleeding again. However, if she has bleeding again before that she needs a hysteroscopy with D and C. So it appears that so far she has received appropriate help for her presentation. Your doctor may have done some blood tests which you say are normal. Please do not hesitate to discuss the plan of action for treating your mother with the consultant. They can answer your queries best as they have the full history and investigations at their clinic. This is important when interpreting clinical findings and test results. with best wishes for your mothers recovery
