I am breastfeeding mother of 1 month old. Whenever I have migraine I apply Vicks on forehead for pain relief during pregnancy and before that. Can I apply now also, will the smell effect my newborn?

First of all, vicks is not effective in migraine. If you find it effective, it might not be migraine.
Consider other medicines like paracetamol/ibuprofen or other medicines prescribed by a general medicine doctor. You can also try dipping your both foot in mildly warm water for migraine. Found to be effective in some patients.
Secondly, vicks' smell is an irritant and causes irritation effect on newborns. Try to avoid usage while feeding.
