My parents constantly say that using a revoliser will be a lifelong affair which is why I'm afraid to use it inspite it being prescribed to me. They feel ayurveda is a much better way. I just want to know, how true is this? Will I have to carry my revoliser wih me always? Will I get addicted to it? Please help!

Hi. I understand your concern s. Revoliser/ inhalers are not addictive. It's a old myth not true now in this age. Infact inhaler is the only best way to treat this condition. If not treated appropriately it will be a big problem as you age. Consult a pulmonologist and use your inhaler regularly as prescribed.

Hi.. I understand your problem. Inhalers don’t cause addiction, it need not be used life long. Once your asthma symptoms are better, it can be gradually tapered and stopped as per doctor’s advice.
Revolizer is device y which you take some inhaler medicine.
Inhaler medicine are not addictive in fact these are the best available medicine for bronchial asthma.
Currently most of guidelines recommend regular use of inhaler medicine for bronchial asthma in persistent asthma and some cases of intermittent asthma.
The common adverse effects of these medicine are mouth uncer and change in voice that are reversible.
So do not worry. Take these as prescribed by your pulmonologist
Inhalers donot have addictive potential.
There is no truth in the idea that it is going to be a lifelong burden. Inhalers are one of the most effective treatments with least side effects to treat bronchospasm.
Only if you have lifelong symptoms, you will be asked to carry the inhaler with you all the time.
There is no way that inhalers are addictive.
You have been prescribed one because you need it to treat your asthma.
Now you can choose between oral medicines which are slow to act, first go to your stomach, get absorbed by blood, go to liver where it is digested(metabolised) then come back yo blood and then spread all over the body vs a very small quantity of medicine in the form of vapour going into the lung directly and helping you get better.
I have no experience with other forms of medicine.
