Use Bipap after Knee Replacement surgery
Hi Team, My mother (58 yrs, weight 115kg,height 5 feet) went through knee replacement surgery and the day after doctor advised to use Bipap in night and told that CO2 level is increasing in her body. Doctor mentioned they will monitor her for 2-3 days and will advise if she has to use this life long or for short period of time. Is this post operation effect which has resulted in this or this issue was before ? Is this caused by Anesthesia?

It may be pre existing before surgery...but can be due to post op...need to evaluate after she stabilizes with further tests to prevent future such symptoms.. as CO2 are increasing for now she will be on BiPAP
