My father has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He is in the advance stages of it which sometimes makes it difficult to control his mood and temper. Is Rivotril the right medicine to control his temper?

Although behavioural and mood disturbances are common in the elderly with dementia, it is prudent to get him assessed by Psychiatrist for appropriate treatment and support.
Whether the individual concerned is able to make decisions for himself/herself, he/she deserves dignity in life for the right and appropriate treatment and support.
Hence it would be unprofessional to suggest a sleeping tablet.
