Urine pain following bad catheter
I have recently been in hospital with digestion problems. The staff prepped me for surgery which wasn't necessary in the end. They inserted a urinary catheter (badly) and I am left with excruciating pain whilst urinating. Apart from standard pain-killers, is there anything I can do to relieve the pain when passing urine? Anything at all

Take plenty of fluids, tab flavoxate 200 mg thrice daily and solution of potassium magnesium citrate 15 ml mixed with glass of water thrice daily for 3-4 days. Get a urine examination done for infection
