Urine leak around catheter
Mother has a silicone 18 no catheter placed but experiencing leakage almost every other day Took tablet soliten but the leakage mostly happens once she is in standing position and once she gets up after sleeping The silicon catheter is changed 2 times in -a week and there is no infection or blockage What will help to stop the leak around catheter completely

Pull the catheter slightly and fix. Secondly the total volume of the balloon inflated should be around 10 ml and not very much. U can also try tab tolterodine 4mg hs.

Who ever has put the catheter ask that person to reduce the balloon to total of 8ml. This will settle

Reduce the baloon if inflated more, Further investigation in terms of bladder capacity,stress incontinence ,bladder muscle to e is required in a good urology centre if no relief
