Catheter leaks at night.

Asked for Female, 32 Years

I use a foley catheter every night because I have spina bifida since birth & have urological problems. For the last 3-4 months, I am experiencing a lot of leakage. I have repeated UTIs, but I experienced leakage even when I didn't have it.

Hello brother I understand your concern...Leakage from a foley’s catheter on having it for a long time could be due to infection, irritation of the urethra and sagging of the muscles...I would suggest you to get clinical examination and laboratory investigations like urine analysis and culture... Discuss the issues with your treating doctors they will do the needful.
