Uric Acid - FEBUTAZ query
I have did routine check up and found Uric Acid - 8.0 Total cholesterol - 222 Vldl - 53 Tgl - 266 Hba1c - 6.5 Ac blood sugar - 109 Pc blood sugar - 145 Zinc - 40.2 microgram/dl Vit D - 30.3 Doctor prescribed me Febutaz half tablet at night. And zincovit 1 tab at night. For 1 month. I have gastritis and gerd , where I get pain frequently due to various reasons. Will Febutaz worsen my gastritis symptoms? Does it have gastro intestinal side effects? Is it safe to take for more than a month. Please explain in detail.

Unless you have some kind of pain in leg, there is no need to take Febutaz. Also you are very young and your high cholesterol and triglycerides can be easily controlled by dietary changes and physical activity. Also avoid spicy foods that can cause your gastritis or GERD. Consult a physician for future information.

With all due respect to your physician.... U do not need to start to start febutaz at the moment... Instead control your tg with medications and diet. ।।drinkadequate water. ... Avoid alcohol.. Repeat ua  after 1 monthComing to your question..... Though not commonly encountered it may in some.... In that case use rantac or a ppi. and some patients may require prolong therapy
