Hi , my husband have upper back pain near neck. He is IT professional so he needs to seat for 8 hour daily. Could you please tell me solution for this.

It is mostly fibromyalgia . As it geting common work from home  prblms . Definately working from home put us at  ease .so sitting posture is not proper many a times and their prolong neck bending or keeping it  in one positions  for long time under muscle  tensed  lead to stiffness and that lead to pain on movement of neck.
Next Steps
1.advice to take rest form work for few days. or change working style. take break in between after 45 min . do some neck basic excersies to relieve spasm. 2. avoid prolong neck forward bending , improve sitting posture avoid taking support of elbow and shrugging your shoulder   while sitting ..idea is to sit STRAIGHT. (not now after few days of rest.) 3. hot fomentation for upper back and neck and shoulder  thrice per day for 20 min  for 7 days. 4. apply volini gel. thrice per day avoid massaging the area. 5. physiotherpy excersies. - neck and shoullder rom excersies - upper back muscle strength excersies
