Emergency pill has high failure rate and pregnancy can happen despite taking the pill. Do pregnancy test if you miss your period date.

Taking iPill within 2 hours of unprotected sex gives it the best chance of working, since it's most effective the sooner it's taken after exposure. Day 9 of a 28 to 30 day cycle is usually before ovulation, which tends to happen around day 14 to 16, so your baseline risk that day was already on the lower side. Combining that with how early you took the pill, your overall chance of pregnancy this cycle is low, though not zero.
Next Steps
Your period may arrive a little early or late this month since the pill can shift its timing. If it's more than a week late, or comes unusually light, take a home pregnancy test to confirm.
Health Tips
iPill is meant for emergencies only, not regular contraception. Please consult a gynaecologist if your period doesn't show up as expected, or before relying on it again.
