Undescended right testicle 4 month baby
Hello doctor, Please see the attached sonography report.Right testicle is not descended.what can we do ? Is surgery required?

This report means Testis has not places properly and placed higher up than normal position. This can be present in some children and can get replaced without doing anything till age of 10-15 months. Good you have done sonography. We can wait for few more months but after that if it remains same we will have to operate it. Its the only gold standard treatment of choice.

What is the age of the child? If it is an infant less then 6 months, better to wait, chances are that it may descend eventually.. If more than 1-1/2 year, most likely he will require surgery.

You can wait till2 years as the child's weight increases the anaesthesia will be easy  But definitely he has to undergo  orchiopexy

It is preferable to do surgery between 6 and 12 months age. It will give better results.
