Uncomfortable with additional SPH power
I wear -1 CYL 180° lenses on both eyes. An eye specialist recently prescribed me an additional -.25 SPH on both eyes but I find it difficult to adjust to the new power. The doc says I must wear the new lenses for 3-4 weeks to get adjusted. My query is, if I'm not comfortable, why would a doc insist on wearing additional SPH power to existing CYL power. Could the additional power cause harm to my vision?

if you don't have aný problem with past glasses then go ahead with them. need not to change the power.
