You can use spherical contact lenses if your cylindrical error is 0.75 or lesser.  In your case since cylindrical power is 0.5, this is halved and added to the spherical number, i. e. - 2 + - 0.25 = -2.25. This is the contact lens power you need for your right eye.
Health Tips
Proper care of contact lenses is vital so that you may enjoy the comfort of using them for many years in the future.
