UNABLE TO REMOVE IMPLANTED IVC FILTER

Asked for Male, 70 Years

I had an IVC filter implanted in 2012. One of my doctors made an appointment for it to be removed last year around October. The hospital that did the implant said it has been in too long for them to remove it. My question is, how concerned should be with this filter in my chest?
