Ugie upper gastrointestinal endoscopy test.it is done for diagnosing stomach and esophageal pathologies. commonly done for acid peptic disease ( ulcer in stomach in common words).there is no sedation required,but local xylocaine spray can be given for reducing the pain while procedure.it can take 20 to 25 min for completing procedure the patient has to just swallow the scope when passed through the mouth
