Hi.yes the trauma is due to the front tooth.which is impinging on the lip.dont close the wound with tape .apply a gel on wounded lip and any possibility in the dental section in that hospital ask them to grind the height of the tooth .or apply something on tooth that the sharp edge covered with. Take care.

Upper front tooth has to be removed. To relieve pain and wound, you can consult through this for prescription of medication. To remove tooth, visit a dentist. If patient is willing, you can go for total tooth extraction and complete denture.

Please do not use tape and cover the wound. It wouldn't allow the wound to heal. You can think about extracting the tooth if her health allows it. A more non-invasive procedure I would suggest is the usage of Oral Screens. Usually we give that to kids for treatment of mouth breathing. You could try the same which will prevent her teeth to come in contact with the lower lip.

Hello ma’am If her health is in good shape then that tooth has to be extracted. You need to get consent from the physician or surgeon before visiting a dentist. If extraction is not possible then other measures need to be taken that can be advised only after visiting a dentist with thorough examination. There is tray known as night guard if possible can be given. This is one option. Rest can be explained after seeing the patient.
