Typhoid +ve, today is 8th day of fever
I've been suffering from fever for last 8 days. I got my blood test done and found that I have typhoid. I have no other symptoms apart from fever. My platelets count as per three reports are: May 8 : 1.03 lac May 10: 1.13 lac May 12 : 0.80 lac I've been eating properly till now. Today I'm feeling a little bit uneasy in my stomach as well. I'm taking fever medication from my local doctor. Earlier I was taking (Fanso-p), today he changed them to Dolo & monocef. I have also had 4 days drip schedule done. Please advise if I need to change medication or need to get any more tests done or if I need to get admitted to a hospital.

COVID may show false positivity with a typhoid test. Do the RTPCR test. If your platelets fall further it is advisable to get admitted as you may need transfusions.
