Typhoid symptoms
What are the general symptoms of typhoid? I am exhibiting head and muscle ache, vomiting sensation, weakness and loss of hunger. I was told by a local doctor that I might have typhoid. Please give some advice on that.

Hi there.. typhoid( enteric fever) is caused by salmonella bacteria.. it spreads through contact with infected water or food.. the duration of the illness is about 3-4 weeks. Symptoms include:Poor appetite, headache, Generalized weakness and pains, Fever ,Lethargy, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and discomfort.. typhoid can be diagnosed by widely test and sometimes blood culture may be needed..Treatment of typhoid is antibiotics, supportive care. Sometimes symptoms of different diseases over lap.. so please confirm typhoid once by widal.. your symptoms could even mean viral fever in which also you have weakness, headache,myalgia(bodypain), loss of appetite, fever wil be there.. consult nearest physician soon..
