During pregnancy you may have to increase the dose of insulin dear and a specialist ultrasound of baby heart called as fetal Echo will be done at 24 weeks.
Health Tips
Do a Glycosylated Hemoglobin before planning pregnancy. If it is normal and blood sugar is under control then only you can plan pregnancy. Besides remember to measure your blood pressure periodically during pregnancy. With increasing age blood vessels become stiff. So you should plan pregnancy as early as possible.

Hello! If your diabetes is well under control with no other complications you could wait for two years. However just to be on safer side you can visit a fertility specialist and get you and your partner checked. If everything is normal you can safely wait until you are ready for pregnancy.
