How do any dr. know if it is pus or wax or ear fluid. After 4 months of tympanoplasty type 3 surgery I am feeling like foul smelling inside my ear but dr. is saying it's not pus just relax. Is there any authentic process there to confirm if it is pus or not ?

It is only on observation and inspection it can be confirmed,u could consult another ENT specialist for the same.
It is an observatory finding and you should trust the doctor.
