Twin foetus formation & Aborted

Asked for Female, 28 Years

My friend recently conceived for a twin.But unfortunately, in her 9th week both the foetus heartbeat stopped and had to abort. Both were in same placenta. Is this normal? what's the chance she might again have twin? what type of home remedies you recommend. Her husband is a type 1 diabetic and is this something to do with a weak foetus formation?
