In current regime
Ethambutol is given for complete duration of the treatment of TB
But I would like to see the current reports on the basis you are taking the treatment
Thanks
You are taking rifampicin 600mg + inh 300mg + ethambutol 800mg od. You have not taken pyrazinamide which is effective in reducing the ATD treatment duration.
There is wide variation in ATD regimen. It is usual practice to give ethambutol during intensive phase for 60 days. ethambutol may be given for the entire 9 months, if there is no untoward reaction.
