TSH values
Hi Sir/Madam, My wife is being undergoing pregnancy with 7 weeks. Doctor has suggested to undergo Thyroid stimulation harmone and Blood Sugar glucose test early in morning before 08:00 AM. But we have taken the time test at 10:30 Am with fasting itself. As we see both the results are shown high. Thyroid stimulation harmone: 13.2 Blood Sugar glucose(fasting): 99 Now we are worried about the results. 1. Does the time which we have undergone the tests really effects the TSH Value and Blood Sugar Value? 2. Should these tests be undergone only in early hours? 3. Should we take the tests one more time tomorrow in early hours? Please help us on the above doubts asap . Thanks in Advance,

Time is fine if you were fasting. It is not a problem if you get it done at 10 or 11 Am. Your sugar levels is Ok but on margin so should restrict sugar diet no need for medicine. but for thyroid you need medication. Don't worry too much just get the medicine for thyroid from your doctor and repeat the test after a month with medicines whether controlled or not.

No. U don't have to repeat again because of the time. However before thyroid treatment....it is better to repeat TSH in fasting along with free T3 free T4 and antithyroid Antibodies. Sugar can be controlled with low carbohydrate diet alone. Hope I have answered all queries.
